30 Day Worry-free Warranty

Metro Sound and Music offers a 30 day  warranty that begins on the shipment date. This warranty covers  defective merchandise.  If your item is defective please contact us  within 30 days of the shipment date detailing the issues with your  item.  We are a professional repair shop and once your return has been  authorized we will cover the return shipping cost, repair cost, and the  shipping cost of the repaired or replacement item.  If the item cannot  be repaired or replacement is not available, then you will be given a  voucher for store credit in the amount of the original item's purchased  price.  A 20% restocking fee will be applied for items found to be  falsely described as defective.

5 Day No Questions Asked Return Policy

Metro Sound and Music offers a 5 day no  questions asked return policy beginning on the day your item is  delivered. The buyer pays for the return shipping and will receive a  voucher for store credit in the amount of the original item's purchased  price.

How To Proceed with Returning an Item

For return authorization (some items are  not eligible for return--see the section on "Non-Returnable Items")  contact us via email at  or by phone at (804) 643-7125 immediately.  All items being shipped  back to us will need to be insured and returned in their original  purchased condition. As soon as we verify the returned item's condition,  we will contact you with our assessment of the item and a resolution.

Non-Returnable Items:  strings, reeds, computers, tubes, earbuds, earplugs, recorders, tin  whistles, flutophones, "world" wind instruments, harmonicas, raw-frame  speakers, drumheads, drumsticks, turntable cartridges, fog fluid,  clothing/footwear, body jewelry, sheet music, cleaners, polishes and  polishing cloths

  • Note:  some products incur sanitization fees--$10  for woodwind and brass instruments; $8 for mouthpieces priced at $300 or  more and $4 for mouthpieces under $300; returned bows incur a $4  restocking fee.
  • Note: Apple's return policies require you to  contact Apple directly to repair, replace or return Apple products.  Apple products may not be returned to us under any circumstance.

Attention International Buyers

Our Warranty and Return policy applies to  all international purchases too, however any duties and/or taxes paid by  the buyer will not be refunded by Metro Sound and Music--you will need  to contact your local customs office regarding that procedure.

Abuse of Return Privileges

We understand that a solid and honest  return policy and warranty are important for you to have confidence in  your purchase. We want to make sure our customers never get stuck with a  wrong piece of gear. Unfortunately, there are those who take advantage  of such policies and warranties, so we reserve the right, for those who  violate the spirit of our return policy with excessive returns, to limit  or suspend their return privileges.
