USED Aston Spirit Studio Condenser Microphone

One microphone. Three patterns. Every recording you make.

The SPIRIT is the most flexible condenser microphone Aston builds — a switchable cardioid / omni / figure-8 studio centrepiece engineered to follow you wherever the recording goes. Close-mic the lead vocal in cardioid. Capture the room with omni. Set up Mid-Side stereo with figure-8. One stand. One mic. Every technique.

The 1" gold-evaporated capsule and custom UK-made balanced transformer give the SPIRIT its warmth, openness and transient response. The signature waveform mesh head protects the capsule from impact and acts as a built-in stainless steel pop filter. Direct-to-stand mounting eliminates the cradle. Voiced with the Aston 33 circle of producers and engineers.

For the studio that records vocals one day, ensemble the next, dialogue the day after — and refuses to swap microphones for it.
