Body: the top back and sides of the body all show some obvious scuff marks, scratches, dings, dents, and chips in the finish--moderate to heavy buckle rash; the pickguard looks virtually flawless; the electronics cover, neckplate, and bridge assembly all have some obvious scratches on them
Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the fretboard has a small shallow ding just past the 19th fret and the both side edges of the fretboard have some small dings, however none of these should affect playability; the back of the neck has several scratches and small to medium-sized dings and dents as well as a couple of easily noticeable chips in the lacquer; the nut has a small ding in the center that is not causing any issues with strings remaining seated properly; some small dings and scratches can be seen on the front, back, and sides of the headstock
Action and Playability: the action is about medium-low, plus the neck is straight and the truss rod functions flawlessly
Frets: light wear
Hardware: the buttons on the tuners have some dings and nicks in them, but they all move smoothly and function properly; the electronics cover, neckplate, and bridge assembly all have some obvious scratches on them--the tremolo arm is missing
Electronics: all functions flawlessly
Includes: electric guitar (tremolo arm and case/gig bag not included)
The Fender Jag-Stang is an electric guitar produced by Fender and designed by Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Produced from 1995-1999, the Jag-Stang was a hybrid of the traditional Jaguar and Mustang models. Cobain's prototype Jag-Stang had a Fender Texas Special pickup at the neck and a DiMarzio H-3 at the bridge. The production Jag-Stang includes a "vintage style" single coil pickup and one "special design" humbucker, each with its own toggle switch which a player can use to switch from "on", "off", or "out-of-phase" settings. It employs the Mustang's "Dynamic Vibrato" bridge and, like both of its predecessors, it has a 24" short scale neck (an exact replica of Cobain's favorite neck, from a Fender Mustang). Smells like grunge spirit!
