Body, Bell, and Leadpipe: there is an obvious crease/dent in the bell tubing, just past the 3rd valve and a few very small dings in the bell tubing just before the 1st valve; the body, bell, and leadpipe show some very light scratches along with some spots of tarnishing in the finish, primarily on the inside and the outside of the bell flare as well as a little bit on the third valve finger slide, valve casings, and leadpipe
Slides and Valves: the main tuning slide and the finger slides all move nice and smoothly, and all the valve caps twist on and off very easily
Keywork and Playability: the keys show light wear in the finish, and are not bent and all move properly
Includes: professional model trumpet (D-slides, mouthpiece, and case not included)
The Bach Stradivarius 189S Eb/D trumpet is a professional, long-bell instrument paired with a #229 bell and a .462" bore. The #229 bell is known for its slower, gradual taper, which produces a more focused, brighter, and compact sound compared to the #239 bell. The reverse tuning #25R leadpipe and .462" bore has an open feel. The 1st slide thumb saddle makes for easy intonation adjustments while the Monel pistons provide smooth quick action. This configuration is ideal for symphonic and solo work requiring exceptional projection and precise intonation.
