Body: the top, back, and sides show some scuff marks, scratches, dings, and dents--moderate buckle rash; the binding is starting to separate along the inside of the upper cutaway, but other than that the binding is intact; the electronics cover and the neckplate have some noticeable scratches on them from normal use
Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock: the fretboard and the binding look virtually flawless, but the ebonized look of the fretboard seems to be mostly work off; the back of the neck has a few small scratches in the finish; the front, back, and sides of the headstock have a few small scratches and dings to be found, plus there is some sticker residue at the center on the front facing
Action and Playability: the action is nice and low, plus the neck is straight and the truss rod functions flawlessly
Frets: light wear with some small grooves just barely starting to form on the first fret
Hardware: the tuners look fantastic; the bridge, tailpiece, and neckplate all have some light scratches on them
Electronics: all functions flawlessly, but the pickup covers have some scuff marks and scratches on them
Includes: electric guitar (case/gig bag not included)
The Ibanez CN100 is a Concert series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1978. It was made in Japan by FujiGen. The CN100 features a carved maple top with cream binding on an offset double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a 3-piece rock maple neck with a 22-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with binding and pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Super 80 humbucking pickups with chrome covers mounted in black pickup rings with individual volume and tone controls, a Tune-o-matic style Gibraltar fixed bridge and slotted tailpiece with scalloped "cloud" ornament, Smooth Tuner II machine heads and rubberized Sure Grip knobs. The CN100 (part of the Concert Series) is often recognized for its high-quality construction, typical of the late '70s "lawsuit-era" Japanese Ibanez guitars. It was positioned as a more accessible, bolt-on neck alternative to the top-tier Artist series, while sharing similar high-quality hardware. This CN100, noted for having a comfortable, "rock" voice, features a stealthy looking gloss black finish and is ready jam!
