Its body is often called the \"Peanut\" shape due to its silhouette. It has the absurdly-long 25-7\/8\" scale length that all the \"professional\" Kay guitars tend to have. This lets them detune beautifully but also means that per any given gauge the tension will be a little higher than on a \"normal\" scale. The \"Thin Twin\" pickup on this K-125 is a single-coil pickup, with an \"On\/Off\" toggle switch for the Tone control...when in the On-position the signal bypasses the Tone. This vintage beauty has been refinished to a gloss teal green, and possibly relic'd as the finish does show a lot of really cool checking in the lacquer. This Kay 72 years old \"Peanut\" is a part of rock'n'roll history and still sounds incredible...players and collectors take
